The TVAD research group (Theorising Visual Art and Design) has announced their guest researcher for February 2016. Dr Daniel Huppatz from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, is editor of , Design: Critical and Primary Sources and Unbounded: On the Interior and Interiority. Daniel’s research focuses predominantly on architecture and interiors, with expertise in Australian design history, modern Asian design, interior architecture and global design histories. He has recently written about the sydney Opera House, McDonald’s Golden Arches, and Fashion Branding.
Daniel will be visiting UH for a week in February (dates to be announced), as part of a schedule of presentations and activities led by the TVAD group. The week will be very valuable to all research students, and will provide opportunities to learn about other research as well as to share your own ideas. Watch this space for more details.
